Favorite Art Supply of the Month

I've been working with pastels this week and once again I am reminded how much I enjoy using Diane Townsend's terrage pastels, especially her darks. OOOoooo so lovely and rich!

What's Happening This Week in the Studio

The dog portraits are hung by the easel with glee in hopes of great grins on the really big day!

I have one more commission of donkeys to paint before Christmas.

I have been so thrilled and blessed by my collectors this year! Thanks to all of you for loving bright and beautiful paintings!

We've Moved Downtown!

You won’t want to leave once you step foot into Carolyn Blaylock Studio & Gallery. Located in the historic area of downtown Winston-Salem, the studio occupies the upstairs of a unique building on the corner of 300 South Marshall Street and Brookstown Avenue. Ollie’s Bakery is downstairs and the delightful aroma of goodies waft into the studio. Old plank floors, high ceilings, brick walls and ten huge windows make for a very enchanting environment to share and create.

The studio is humming with five artists working in various medium. We would love for you to come and visit us, perhaps even picking up a brush and awakening your creative side! Come see the works of Carolyn Blaylock, Amos Westmoreland, Kathy Pruett, Linda Battle, and Becky Davis.

We are still getting settled in and our sign made, so if you'd like to come, please give a call first at (336) 909-1378.  We will soon have regular hours for you to visit us, not to mention openings and workshops!

You can also receive news of upcoming studio workshops, events and new paintings by signing up for my e-ArtPost.

And my blog is always filled with art tips I've learned in my studio. You can subscribe and follow the fun!
